The Fascinating Life of a Municipal Bond – From Cradle to Grave

9:00-12:15, lunch

Even if you’ve issued debt recently, the rules have changed and it’s a new game.  This course will go through the process from project conception, working with the elected officials, structuring and issuing the bonds, budgeting for debt service through the life of the bonds, and disclosure and other post-issuance compliance requirements.  Dodd Frank doesn’t just impact underwriters, it impacts issuers too, and this session will spell out what you need to know.

This course will be facilitated by Mark Ruff (Ehlers), Paul Donna (Baird) and Ben Johnson (Kennedy & Graven), and will be split into two components:  the first 1.5 hours will be a bonds refresher, while the second 1.5 hours will delve deep into legal and financial details.  A lunch will immediately follow the session so participants can further exchange questions, experiences and ideas.

Please join your fellow colleagues to learn more about debt financing.
