Budget/Capital Planning; this seminar is geared towards Finance Directors on budgeting and capital planning. The budget discussion will include an overview of the GFOA Budget Award. John Norman, City of St. Cloud Finance Director, and Tom Kelly, White Bear Township Finance Officer, will cover budgeting in the morning session. John and Tom are both past presidents and long-time members of MnGFOA. They both have served on committees with National GFOA also. Dan Jordet, the 2014 MnGFOA President and City of Otsego Administrative Services Director, will present capital planning in the afternoon. Dan has taught this topic at several seminars and cities from staff level, to elected officials, to finance directors.
