Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) under GASB 75
Jill will review the valuation and disclosure cycle required for your Entity’s Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEBs) covered under GASB 75. She will discuss all aspects of the biennial GASB 75 cycle. Highlights will include an overview of the benefits covered, the data needed for the valuation, and the process to develop the materials to finalize the GASB 75 disclosure exhibits for your financial statements. Jill Urdahl, FSA, EA, MAAA is the Minnesota Practice Leader and Consulting Actuary at Hildi Inc., a Division of USI Consulting Group in Bloomington, Minnesota. She serves as a retirement and other postemployment benefits (OPEB) consultant and actuary for the firm. During the past 32 years, Ms. Urdahl has been a retirement actuary and consultant. She has worked with large and small employers, both public and private, to develop their retirement and OPEB strategies. Specific areas of focus include plan design, funding and financing, and administration services. Ms. Urdahl also has experience with present value services and QDROs for marital dissolutions. Ms. Urdahl is a Facilitator for the Society of Actuaries at the Fellowship Admissions Courses. Before starting Hildi Inc., she worked for two international consulting firms for more than 14 years in various capacities including principal actuary, managing supervisor, region recruiting lead, and a Society of Actuaries exam committee member. Ms. Urdahl is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), enrolled actuary (EA), and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a B.A. degree in mathematics
