How Minneapolis is promoting initiatives
Patrick Hanlon is the Deputy Commissioner of Sustainability, Environment, and Healthy Homes for the City of Minneapolis. He oversees citywide sustainability/environmental policy, environmental operations and healthy homes initiatives. Patrick kick started his career several years ago by developing staff driven leadership models and win-win approaches to environmental issues such as the Green Cost Share Program. The initiatives have proven successful. He and his teams have developed programs assisting property owners that have cut tons of pollution, improved working conditions, and saved over $100,000,000. Patrick is also the Mayor of Hopkins, MN where he has brought his many years of innovative government experience to bear. In his spare time he catches on a men’s baseball team, mountain bikes and joins his wife Kathryn in chasing after their new born baby girl Haven.
