Building Fee Report and State Surcharge Report – Department of Labor and Industry
Presentation Overview: This presentation will focus on the two municipal reports required by the Department of Labor and Industry: Municipal Fee & Expense and the State Surcharge. As the Department collaborated with the League of Minnesota Cities last year on a “how to complete” training on the Fee & Expense report, this year’s segment will provide an overview of the report with a focus on the specifics of a fee-for-service program supporting Building Code Enforcement. The Department will also share their progress on streamlining and simplifying reporting requirements for the State Surcharge.
Speakers: The program will be presented by Scott McLellan, Director of the Department’s Construction Codes & Licensing Division along with input from Assistant Director Scott McKown and Management Analyst Lyndy Logan.
